I had a great time in Ireland!

Thanks Megan and Jack for showing me all over Cork. I had a great time but I'm glad to be going home!

Uncle Brian takes me to the pub

I tasted the black beer - called Guinness Stout - YUCK!

I almost DROWNED!!!

It was really windy and I blew away! I flew out into the ocean!

Luckily, a kind fisherman found me and pulled me into his boat! (He was nice enough to even take a picture of me on the way back to shore).

I was cold and wet! It took me a while to dry off.

Look at the ocean!

The old house

We saw an old house - people used to live in this house 100 years ago!

At the playground in Allihies

The school in Allihies

Graceland in West Cork!

Last weekend, we drove down to Allihies. It’s a beautiful little village on the west coast of Cork. We stayed in a small bed & breakfast. I think they named it after the house of a famous Memphis person!

They drive on the wrong side of the road!

There are lots of things in Ireland that are different than in America. For example, the cars drive on the left side of the road and I found out the hard way! It’s a good thing that I’m flat! Remember boys and girls, always look both ways before crossing the street!

Irish Patriot

Tomas MacCurtain was a famous man from Cork. We visited his monument. He was a patriot who fought the British - just like George Washington!

Shandon Cathedral

We also went to a famous church called Shandon Cathedral.

Arriving in Ireland!

When I arrived in Ireland I met my two cousins, Jack (11) and Megan (8). They took me everywhere!

They live in Cork City. Megan took me all around the city. Here we are on Patrick’s Street.
